Before you buy

Help choosing a state and entity

Most pre-purchase questions come down to where to form and which entity to pick. Here is the short version, with deeper guides linked.

Wyoming or Delaware?

A Wyoming LLC is the low-cost, privacy-first default (~$60/yr) for owner-operated businesses. Delaware is the choice when you plan to raise venture capital or issue stock. Compare them in Wyoming vs Delaware.

Do I qualify as a non-resident?

Almost certainly yes. You do not need to be a US citizen or resident, you do not need an SSN or ITIN, and you do not need to travel to the US. The entire process is remote.

After formation

Help with EIN, banking, and compliance

EIN questions

Without an SSN, your EIN is requested on IRS Form SS-4 by fax and confirmed by the CP575 letter, which can take a few weeks. Read the EIN guide for non-residents.

US banking

Once you have your documents and EIN, you can apply remotely to Mercury, Relay, or Wise Business. Our banking guide lists what each one needs.

Staying compliant

A single-member LLC files Form 5472 with a pro-forma Form 1120 each year, plus the state annual report. Your compliance calendar tracks every date.

Contact and response times

Use the form above for any pre-sale or general question and a specialist replies within one business day. If you already have an account, open a ticket from your dashboard so your message is linked to your company and documents, which gets you a faster, more specific answer. For anything involving complex legal or tax structuring, we will point you to a licensed professional rather than give advice we are not qualified to give. Ready to begin?
